TY NEVINS RACING

Ty began driving electric go-karts at age 2, gas powered go-karts at age 3, and quarter midgets at age 4. He began racing quarter midgets in the USAC and QMA series at age 5.

It did not take Ty long to make his mark in quarter midget racing. He won multiple races in his first season, and scored a runner-up finish in the 2009 season ending 'Little 500' against the best racers in the country.

Ty has won races and championships in the JR Honda, Light 160, and Light World Formula divisions. Ty has also won the JR Honda track championship and JR Honda Florida State championship. In his 2012 championship season Ty won 17 of his 20 starts, and swept both the heat race and feature race on 14 occasions - earning him the nickname 'The Broom'. Ty also reeled off 17 straight wins from the end of the 2011 season thru the first half of the 2012 season. Ty did not lose a race for more than 7-months.

In 2018 at the age of only 14, Ty won the Marion County Speedway 600 Outlaw Wing Sprint Track Championship as well as the speedways 'Hard Charger' award.

Ty has raced all over the country including National races at the Tulsa Shootout, the Highbanks Hustle, Pennsylvania Speedweeks, the Lucas Oil Southern States Shootout, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Disney World, the Little 500 in New Smyrna Beach, FL, the QMA Grand's at Wall Stadium, NJ, and at the Battle at the Brickyard in Indianapolis, IN.

In addition to racing, Ty enjoys playing baseball and basketball. He is the starting catcher on his baseball team and starting point guard on his basketball team. He also loves to ride motocross, four-wheeler's, BMX bikes, and scooters. Ty also likes to bow hunt for deer and turkey, and he also enjoys fishing with his dad.

Ty has retired from quarter midget racing and has now moved in to a 600 winged sprint car racing in a 2019 Hyper Racing X7. Ty races for automotive lead conversion company BDC Bandits, EPIC Racewear, Nevcor Technology, and Supan Brothers Suspension.
